Any character which can reasonably be an employee of, consultant to, or client of Black Cat Investigations is acceptable. Black Cat directly employs investigators (see the template from Characters) and mages (see template from the same source). They also employ muscle on a contract basis, which can be created from the Soldier of Fortune template provided in Campaigns.

Additional affiliates not directly in the employ of Black Cat would be anthropologists, professors of religion and cryptobiologists from Michigan's universities (esp. University of Michigan and Wayne State). Police and other first responders such as EMTs and firemen are also likely to be involved, and may make acceptable character types.

Employees of Black Cat Investigations must have at least a 10 in Occult knowledge, and must have the Local Familiarity (Metro Detroit) advantage. Occult knowledge may be appropriate for some affiliates, but is not necessary. Local Familiarity (Metro Detroit) is entirely optional.
