Traveller World Generator

Some discussion online about the problem of world generation when creating Traveller characters prompted me to write this up. It's a convenient little utility for generating WPP entries for character generation. It doesn't go whole-hog, complete with starports and political information, because that's all tied in more to your campaign setting than just character gen. But it does generate a nice list of worlds for you to populate your game with.

Full source is included, as well as a compiled executable for windows. It's a command line program, so don't try double clicking on it to get your results. It accepts a single optional argument, for the number of worlds to generate. If none is given only one world will be generated.

The program also generates trade classifications for your planets. I haven't done extensive testing on that code, but so far it hasn't generated false trade classifications for the worlds that it has created. Keep an eye out though and check your results against the trade classifications in the rule book.
